Parking on C/D

Is commuter parking horrible on C/D? Paying almost $300 to have the option to park in the deck is disgusting because I could see it filling up fast, so I was thinking about just getting the Zone C pass, but the 2 lots seem tiny. Last year I parked on Livingston so I never had to worry about finding a spot, but now I live a lot closer to C/D, so it will be so much easier to park there.

I'm only going to be on campus 3 days a week and 1 of the days it's only a night class, so parking is really only important 2 days a week, but I'm worried about having to stalk people for spots while I'm late for class :-/.

bump bump!!

Or you could do the illegal parking thing that kids do when they have one class on Douglass — park in the Sears parking lot near the Henderson apartment and taking the EE bus to whatever stop to get to class.

I’m not familiar with where the 2 lot is but maybe you should just park there if it is cheaper. Or park on Livingston and take the bus to class since they have more spots on there.

Sorry, I know this wasn’t helpful. :(

What campus are most of your classes situated on?

haha I have heard about people parking at Sears…no one gets in trouble? lol

My classes are everywhere really and I don’t mind busing because that’s what I did last year, but I parked on Livingston. I only want to park on C/D because it’s the closest to my apartment…it would take me twice as long to get to Livingston or Busch and I’d rather not park on College Ave either. The lots are by the food science building and after looking at it again I guess the one is a decent size.

I would definitely take the lot by the food science building!

The Sears thing … hahaha… I’m sure one or two people here and there got caught. It’s more obvious when they have those big magnetic "R"s on the car or any other Rutgers merchandise. Of course the car belongs to a Rutgers student, hahaha. Kids do it though. But only if they had one or two classes on Cook/Douglass.

if you don’t mind the food science lots being a little far away from hickman, the bio building, etc. then maybe you should just get the cheaper zone c pass (or park at sears which some people might be weary of but lots of people get away with it and it is $000!). if you do have classes there and mind having to walk a little bit then get the zone d, maybe try to get there earlier, and i guess suck it up haha. i am having the same problem deciding what to do

I decided on the zone C…I actually only have one class on c/d and it’s near those lots anyway and it’s not a far walk to bus stops. I wanted to get zone D, but for that price it would be a waste.
