So the Parking web site says I cant apply for my pass until this Sat the 15th.
Problem is I live in Tampa and I'm leaving first thing in the morning on Wed. the 19th.

My fear is that I'm cutting it short by requesting that they mail my pass to my home address.
I also fear that if I mail it to my FSU PO box that I will be so busy that move in day that I'll end up with a ticket because I did'nt get to my mailbox.

I have no idea why the heck parking services waits until the last second to make these things available.

We were told to order your pass once you get to FSU and have them send it to you at your P.O. box. They wont be handing out tickets until after school starts

The new parking sticker is technically not effective until SEPT 1st (it will say good 9/1/09-8/31/10.). They are NOT going to ticket you for parking in student parking without a sticker until after classes start. They WILL ticket you if you park in a no parking zone, or faculty/staff parking, or metered parking without dropping in coins.

You will be find as long as you don’t park in the grass, in a loading zone, in the street, etc. or in a nonstudent lot.

The entire new student population does not have a sticker upon arriving to campus. Just have it sent to your U-box, and put it on your car when you get it. There will be 2500-3000 new fall start freshman and 1000 or more transfers in the same boat as you.

You will be able to unload near the building. Just keep someone with keys near the car, keep flashers on, and move if needed or asked by campus police. You can unload stuff, then go park the car.
