Some questions have been asked about permits, and here are some things I learned by calling DOTS today:

Resident student parking permits: apply for a permit and you will receive a permit for the campus on which you will be living that year.

•Cost $210.00 annually

Warning: I am pretty sure that once permits run out on a certain campus, you will be assigned to whatever is left, so if you want to be sure to get a permit near your housing location, apply as soon as possible.

Commuter permits: Two types of permits are available:

Deck permit (Zone A & D) $299.60 annually- allows you to park in a covered deck.

Zone A: College Ave Campus. You may park in College Ave deck, or Lots 20, 26, & 30 from 6am to 2am. All other listed lots after 6pm only.

Zone D: Cook/Douglass Campus. You may park in the Douglass Deck, or Lots 79 or 98B from 6am to 2am. All other listed lots after 6pm only.

Surface lot permit (Zone B, C, & L) $160.50 annually - all of these lots are open-air lots.

Zone B: Busch Campus. You may park in the West Stadium Lot from 6am to 2am. All other listed lots after 6pm only.

Zone C: Cook/Douglass Campus. You may park in Lots 98A or 98B from 6am to 2am. All other listed lots after 6pm only.

Zone L: Livingston Campus. You may park in the Yellow or Green Lots from 6am to 2am. All other listed lots after 6pm only.

So pick your zone based on where you want to start out at the beginning of the day, or end up at the end of the day. You will park in your zone and your car will stay there for the day: you are not allowed to drive between classes or change zones. To get between classes on different campuses during the day, you must take a bus.

You are allowed to change your home zone once per year.

Commuter Zone Change:
Commuter Students with valid permits that wish to change from one Zone to another may do so once a year; pending review of class schedule and space availability. Hangtag and stickers must be returned to complete exchange.
*Exchange requests for Zone A (College Avenue Campus) will not be considered.
