hi, i really7 need a parking permit for my freshman year and i dont really understand what the website is saying about all the times and restrictions. i know that you need authorization in order to get one though. can someone help me?

from what i heard in orientation was that freshmens were not allowed to bring cars thus no parking permit… call davis administration up! they keep emphasizing that “you won’t need a car in davis” which is bull.

What do you need a car for? Note that I’m not asking what you want a car for.

the yolo bus takes you everywhere and anything close is bike distance :o unless you’re planning on going to SF every weekend :o or In N out…

i have a heart condition and i need to check up with my authorized docotr every 3 weeks or so. so im not sure if thats a good reason for a reason or not.

well if it is for your health, they may be lenient with the parking permit rules. They might require a note from the doctor though. Talk to a counselor about this. They might be able to help you get a permit just for your situation.

From what I understand, the whole parking permit thing is a lie. Its just going to cost you a lot of $$$, and of course you’ll be one of the last considered.

However, medical reasons are completely legitimate and I’m sure it won’t be a problem. Enjoy the summer and have fun your freshman yr!

they’ll definitely accommodate with your situation. your ra’s will definitely help you and tell you where to go about that.
