parking permit

i heard not everyone gets parking permits at ucla... how likely will i get a parking permit if i'm an incoming freshman, living on campus.. i don't have any special things that give me points like being an athlete

does it help to apply for parking permits as soon as they start accepting apps ?

2bad youre not an athlete, go file a civil liberties lawsuit because youre being discriminated

i would suppose so on applying early part

that doesn't even answer my question.. do i even stand a chance of getting a parking permit ?

yes, but i think its more of a random lottery. one of my friends was just like you, she had nothing special, applied, and got a parking permit as a freshman! she said she was really lucky though.

ohh.. do upperclassmen get more priority than freshman for parking permits ?

hey j3ff, if u get a permit, and i end up at ucla. we can go explore LA (party, etc) and stuff lol

i think it goes by a point system... you get points for living off campus, or needing to commute, or being upperclassmen, or holding an off-campus job, or alumni scholar/regents scholar, etc. anything that would require you to have more NEED for a car.

lol what if my need is i don't wanna be bumming rides all the time when i go out

yeah i heard nightlife is pretty boring in ucla if u dont have a car =(

I plan on communiting from about 20 miles out and was informed I'd likely get a pass.
