<p>Ok, I got worried reading about the “parking ticket” situation at UA and decided to go ahead and get a permit. Went to the site to buy the permit and it says it is good from 8-16-10 to 8-15-11. My worry now is…what about those taking OA and AA? They will be there a week early. Sounds like the bama police are strict about those parking tickets. Any advice???</p>
<p>Last year, they were lenient to those of us without the permit. Honestly, a parking permit is one of the first things you should get when you go to school, but the parking staff last year gave a little bit of a grace period for people to get the permits.</p>
<p>They’ll probably give you a special permit for the final week that 2009-2010 permits are in effect, if you ask.</p>
<p>I would call and ask, but you’ll probably be given a temp permit or something.</p>
