I'm going to bring up my car to FSU. My blackboard doesn't let me order a parking permit yet. Any idea on when it will become available? The parking website says that my name isn't in the registrar database, but I had orientation at the start of June. I've been signed up for my classes since before I left orientation. I've come to the assumption that it will become available once the school determines how much each credit hour will cost, and charges my account.

I'm hoping that it becomes available earlier rather than later so I don't have to get a temporary permit followed by an extension or two on that permit until the permanent permit arrives.

I was wondering the same thing…

Every year new students panic over parking passes. They go online with 2010-2011 in mid August, usually about the 15th, as technically they say Sept 1-Sept 1. When the site goes live for the fall, you can do it online and print out a temporary pass until the real one comes. They do not give tickets out in Aug for no parking sticker in W lots. THEY DO GIVE OUT TICKETS for parking on the grass, in a no parking zone, or in a faculty or staff lot.

No one is listed as being in the system until Fall goes live. Not even upperclassman.
