Parking Structure Question

Thanks inflatablecheez. I didn't know about the multiple day permits...

man this is disappointing... i live like 1-1.5 hours away yet I don't think I can drive to school...

I think you should really come live on-campus. It'll be the college experience. And if you don't get parking, no worries. Really, it's not that big of a deal the first year. You can still go home through other means.

Do you guys realize there are several places in Westwood where you can park for free? And no, it is not street parking nor does it involve breaking laws of any kind.

Not really...I only know about the Broxton/Weyburn one before 6....

living an hour or two away and driving to school would be absolutely miserable. seriously. there used to be a girl on here who lived in SB and drove to class in LA and she got reallllly tired of it after a week or two. i'm not sure the money you'd save on housing is worth it.

and yeah, there are free places but you generally have to be a customer at the stores which offer it. there aren't giant free lots for all day parking or anything.

Wow, that's a horrible drive to make back and forth for classes. =//

Im gonna live on campus just that I think I want to have my car so I can go home to hang out with friends or something from time to time like once or twice a month... definately not staying home...

Well, apply for parking to see if you can get it next fall. Don't get your hopes up though. If you don't get it, I'm pretty sure you can find other ways home still.

If you know the right people, you can get an X permit = parking at any UCLA lot. I'm getting one starting July 1 :-P
