I'm trying to register for the parking lottery and I can't seem to find the locations on the map. For that matter, I'm having a hard time figuring the parking website out. Anyone have some experience in this field? Thank you.

Another try-bump!

Yeah, sorry the website isn’t very helpful.

Go to [USC Maps](http://web-app.usc.edu/maps/) and search for “parking” and you’ll see where all the lots & structures are.
If you want to live on the Northside (New/North/Birnkrant), I’d recommend PSD, PSX, or PS2.
If you want to live on the Southside (Marks/Pardee/Trojan), I’d recommend PSX, PS2, or maybe PSO or PSD.
If you want to live in the Parkside area, I’d recommend PSA.
If you want to live in Webb/Fluor, I’d recommend PSB.

There’s also the Parking Center on the other side of the 110. There’s a tram that runs from campus to there and back pretty regularly.

I live in Parkside and I’m in PS2, so it’s not super convenient, but it’s fine. It’s a safe walk, so I appreciate that, and I can get a Campus Cruiser there or back if I need to.

Thank you! Part of my issue was that the application kept trying to offer me “Parking Lot 32,” which I still can’t find on the map. But this is very helpful. Thanks!

According to this map: http://www.usc.edu/fms/documents/ConstructionProjectsMap.pdf parking lot 32 is at the intersection of Shrine & 32nd, so not on campus. If you plan on living on campus, I wouldn’t recommend that lot.

Makes sense. Thank you for all of your assistance!
Also, another question: why aren’t all of the parking lots listed on my list of options for the lottery?

That I don’t know, I personally haven’t even looked at parking for next year! Hopefully I can get a spot at my sorority… Maybe they’re full? Or maybe it thinks that you’re looking for this term? I don’t know, I’m not a huge fan of that website.

I’m tempted to just call tomorrow. I only started looking because I thought it might be like housing: the earlier you start, the more likely you are to get what you want. But thanks for all of your advice.

Parking lottery doesn’t open until May, FYI!

See here: [USC Auxiliary Services | Transportation | Permit Information](http://transnet.usc.edu/guest_services/issuance.aspx)

Psh, ok. So I don’t even have to register until May 1?

No wonder they were only offering a few lots…

Thanks for that!

Yeah, I only just found that out when I tried to get grad school parking. (Because the grad admissions packet said REGISTER FOR PARKING NOW. Um, right guys. Nice try.)

Haha. RIGHT NOW! :)
