parking

How hard it is for a freshman who is living on campus to get a parking spot on campus. Do upperclassmen often sell their parking spots to other people for a higher price?

nearly impossible.

How hard is it for a commuter to get on-campus parking?

Theres more of a market for off campus parking spots, like unused spots that come with apartment leases. I have never seen anyone selling UCLA parking, but that probably also has something to do with the fact that its not allowed.

Its easier for communters, its based on a "points" system, your zip code is a major source of points. Living on campus actually gets you negative points. You can get a break down of it off the parking website. www.parking.ucla.edu
