If you don't get a parking permit from parking services, you have to pay the regular $8 a day to park in the lots. I'm not sure, but if you didn't already get a parking permit for fall, I don't think you'll be able to get one. So, just be sure to re-apply for winter...

but when i checked the maps on the transportation website for the parking lots...the university apartment's parking lots aren't shown...so how do you park inside there? I basically don't want parking on campus...just at my apartment.

because there aren't specific parking lots for university apartment people...look on your housing thingy..did they give you parking on there? If they didn't then you'll have to park on the the streets. If they did grant you parking for your apartmnet then the parking is usually underneath the building..in a, uh, parking garage.

im really confused...because my housing was changed so i have no idea about the whole parking situation because i applied for parking as a dorm resident

the parking at the university apartments (if they have a parking garage) is handled by that apartment complex (i believe), not by UCLA transportation services.

my apartment has a parking structure, however, i didn't get parking for it. Just because your apartment has a garage doesn't mean you'll automatically get it. It said on your final housing decision thingy (that you got in your email, i believe) whether or not you were granted parking.

I got school parking in lot 36 which just happens to be a couple blocks away from my apartment and right next to the shuttle service to the northwest campus (where all my classes are located). I was definitely freaking lucky on this one.
