I'm a Sixth College Freshman, and I was wondering, if anyone knew how parking goes for orientation. I finally pulled enough money together to buy a parking permit, and I'm guessing it won't come until like about a week later. Do I still need to have a parking permit by orientation date which is in about a week? </p>

<p>uhh ... since you're staying at sixth, why don't you just buy it in person? i wouldn't trust something as valuable as that to be mailed.</p>
<p>they usually have a parking grace period for welcome week in which you don't need a permit ... check the parking website for details, or email someone there. (i would just buy an annual permit for the convenience, didn't want to wait until the last possible minute to join the hundreds of people at gilman...)</p>

<p>u can park on la jolla shores drive and walk over, its like a 15 minute walk or buy a day permit for like 8$</p>
<p>Your permit might arrive in time. Mine showed up in probably 3-5 days and I'm out of state</p>
<p>I bought my permit on monday and I recieved it on thursday. I'm in San Diego but you should be alright....the most expensive piece of plastic i've ever bought!!</p>
