Parkside aparments or dorms? HELp

can anyone who has visited USC tell me about parkside aparments?
i really want to live in aparments because i think it's more quiet, and i can cook myself sometimes~~xD but ppl told me that the apartment is very OLD...comparing to the beautiful dorms........ i want to know is the apartment really that unacceptable? if it is then i guess i have to live in a dorm which is not bad neither except being too noisy all the time lol..<br>
anyone has pics of the apartment and dorms?</p>

<p>If you are a freshman, I strongly suggest going into the dorms. Look at previous threads to see which ones are quieter. Suites may be a good option for you, if you are very concerned about noise. Parkside apartments aren’t very updated (the only residential building owned by USC without fire sprinklers), and the social situation of simply meeting friends is far more difficult in apartments.</p>
