Parsons Summer Intensive Program 2012

Hi everyone! I'm going to be attending the Parsons SIS Program Session II taking a course in Graphic Design. I'm flying in from Indonesia alone and I don't really know anyone in New York so it'd be great to get to know some people beforehand :)

Hi! I will be at the Parsons SIS Session II as well!! I’ll be taking a course in Drawing & Painting but perhaps I will meet you! I’m from Tennessee and I don’t know anyone else going (or in NY for that mattter) either so you won’t be the only one haha (:

I am going to Summer II SIS for design and management! I don’t know anyone and I don’t think we are the only ones. My friend did it last year and said it was awesome and it was easy making friends. I am super excited to meet everyone!

Hi! My name is Gabriela and I will also attend the SIS II for Graphic Design at Parsons! I’m flying in from Colombia and don’t know anyone either, so I guess that makes four of us haha… what building will you guys be staying at? I’m at the 13th street residence

I’m in Stuyvesant, but I’ve talked to some other really nice graphic design people who will be in 13th street! Hopefully I’ll see you all around next week! So excited!

I’m going to be staying at 13th Street as well! Wow I didn’t realize there were replies to this thread. See you guys! :D

Btw I made a group! Last summer school I joined in Stanford had one of these too, makes things alot easier for people to get to know each other!

what did you guys think? im considering doing the program next summer and would love some feedback as to what you liked/didnt like! what were the people like?

@rocklanmaine So sorry I just read this! I had an absolute blast. I think it was totally worth it, and it made me fall in love with NYC! If you’re into art and design and plan to major in it, I highly encourage this program. I got to meet sooo many people from different US states and hung out with international kids too. I loved the course and the freedom they give you (12 am curfews) and exploring the city during free time. People were suuuuper artsy, so I really felt like I belong. I didn’t like the super cold AC at the dorm and the cafeteria food…If you’re applying for housing they make you get a card. Kind of a rip-off. Other than that, feel free to PM me if you need more info!
