Parsons vs Pratt - summer ARCHITECTURE program

I'm a freshman in college and I'm looking for a credit architecture program in the US and now narrow down to Parsons and Pratt. But the problem is:

for Pratt, it charges about $ 3100 for 3 credits, 3h per day, 4 days per wk, one month long. ( --> $ 3100 for 48 hours)

for Parsons, $ 3700 also for 3 credit, 7 hours per day, 5 days per wk, also one month long. ( --> $ 3700 for 140 hours)

although parsons looks more expensive, it has a lot more hours

Also, how's the quality of both programs? is there anyone attended either one before? I'm thinking about taking architecture as my major but I haven't taken any arch course yet. So I want to take the summer course as a warm up. Or is there any better program I may choose? (I do not have to take it in NYC actually)

How do you think about the two programs? Thanks =D=D=D

Pratt’s week is only 4 days? That’s news to me. Or are you not counting the foundation and art history classes?

You should ask the people over at [Visual Arts and Film Majors](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visual-arts-film-majors/) about differences between the programs. I know they know a lot about Pratt and probably Parsons as well.
