Part 1 Major different from Part 2 Major?

Did anyone else do the same thing I did? The major I put down in part 1 is different from the one I put down in the actual part 2 application with the essay, etc. I'm wondering if this affects my chances in any way.

DD put undeclared part 1, then her intended major part 2.

I sorta did the same thing- part 1 i said BM in piano, part 2 i said BA in music. if you have any way to clear up the change (such as an interview) i'd take advantage of that opportunity. i think it would show that you actually have an interest in and committment to what you want to study. but i wouldn't freak out about it. i think usc's part 1 app. is just to get a preliminary look at who's applying...

nicknnora- don't stress about it

For part 1, I put my major as business administration or something like that. Then a week or two later, I wanted to switch to biochem (big switch, right? lol), so I put that in the part 2 application, with my essay about wanting to become a pharmacist. I think they're in two completely different schools lol (marshall and arts&sciences).

but anyway, I got into the biochem major last week, so I dont think a switch in declared major between part 1 and part 2 will have any bearing on admissions chances

i made this mistake twice if you can believe it...

for usc, my part I says environmental science when i actually appllied to biochemical engineering.

not that this has anything to do with usc, but i did the same type of thing with my illinois application also. you had to write an essay about why you applied to what major and my whole essay was about why i applied to chemistry.

except... i applied to biochemical engineering.

i was accepted.
