<p>Is that so I have to complete part 1 in order to see part 2, though part 1 is an optional?</p>

<p>Part 1 is optional. If you do not want to do Part 1, you do not have to do it to do Part 1, all you have to do is wait until October 15th and you can go directly to Part 2.</p>

<p>Part 1 saves you $15 overall on your application fee, so it makes sense to submit it.</p>

<p>But I am retaking SAT1 and ACT this month. Can I leave SAT and ACT score blank in part 1?</p>

<p>As long as you send your scores to USC and note them on Part II, I think you can leave Part I blank.</p>
