Part time jobs while studying

I have applied for Management in Human Resources in an institute in USA. To manage my expenses there, I am planning to take up part time jobs there. Am I allowed and what are the job opportunities like?

You will need to check. It sounds like you are an international student. If so, your work hours will be significantly limited.

In addition, to get a visa to study here, you have to show evidence that you have the funds already to support your costs here for at least a year…including housing, tuition, fees, etc. this can include approved loans and financial aid that has been accepted from a college. It can NOT include earnings from a future job.

I think, yes. From what I have heard and know, any international student is allowed to work for 20 hours per week during the course of study and full time during holidays. However, there might be certain exclusive rules set by certain institutes regarding the same. I suggest that you understand the rules and regulations first before applying for such jobs to save yourself from any kind of problems. A suggestion would be to consult agencies like The Chopras in India who are experts in providing insights and knowledge on such trivial issues. You can then plan your part time work plan accordingly. Good luck.

If this student needs money to attend college here, then working is not a “trivial issue”.

At some colleges, international student employment is limited to college jobs…and the number of hours is very limited.
