For spring quarter, I wrote down that I was going to only be taking 1 class because I finished all thr available major classes and the classes for the igetc. I am also a third year student so I also didnt have many classes to choose from. Would taking more classes than the amount I have stated hurt my chances of acceptance? I am taking 4 classes instead of the 1. Also i was a part time student for both fall and winter quarter brecause i already took most of the classes i needed. In that time i focused more on finding work and earning money. Would being a part time student for fall and winter quarter hurt my chances? (i also have more than enough credits for transfer)

There’s no scenario I can imagine where you’d get penalized for taking additional courses, so no that shouldn’t be an issue.

Part time status shouldn’t be an issue either. Remember, their primary focus is going to be on your GPA and your major prerequisite courses. If you’re competitive in those areas you should be fine. Then after that they’re going to look at your personal statements, ECs, IGETC completion, etc. My impression is that the amount of courses you take per term is irrelevant and even if for some reason it was it would play a very, very small factor after all of those aforementioned things. They seem to just want to see the requirements completed. I myself was a three year transfer and had a few part time semesters and was admitted to 7 out of 8 of the UCs I applied to. So I really wouldn’t be too worried if I were you.

That makes me feel much better, thanks!
