You should have responded sooner to her request to meet. She may just be over your behavior. First missing classes, then putting off your response. Geez, this may be a lesson you learn the hard way…sorry, but you should know this already. You are not a freshman. I hope it works out for you but please learn that you need to never let it happen again.

well it’s not really my fault, did u read my earlier posts? i did respond to her back right after and she never replied for like two weeks until like the two days before the end of finals, which is why i met with her so late. and when i was absent it was for legit reasons like having had a contagious infection. I can’t show up to her office not knowing if she’ll be there or not…

I think the fact that you missed a third of the semester probably has more to do with it. Attendance and participation is absolutely crucial in a dance class. It’s not like a lecture oriented class where you can just do the reading and copy the notes from someone else and still do fine in the class.

I can’t believe that you had legitimate reasons to miss class on ten separate occasions. Did you miss this many sessions in your other classes too? Contagious infections? If you were actually sick for a third of the semester, then you might want to consider seeing a doctor. It’s not normal to be sick that frequently.

If you were sick that long it would’ve been wise to have just taken a medical leave from the class earlier on.

No excuses for you.

Usually professors are lenient in this circumstance… Just tell them the truth about why you didn’t attend.

Especially if you were active in class otherwise
