Particularly Weird Interview Dilemma

Okay, this is a pretty odd situation. And I'm pretty sure nothing can be done about it, but I'd appreciate any kind of advice anybody has for me.

Right now, I'm pretty ill with the stomach flu. I'm exhausted, I haven't been to school, and I basically spent my entire day resting and sleeping.

That said, at about 7 PM tonight, a Duke alum called my house about an interview. I was in Nyquil-induced heavy sleep mode. So my dad answered the phone. The problem is, my dad doesn't speak the greatest English, and I don't think he comprehended that it was my interviewer. He just heard the word "Duke" and immediately rushed to hand the phone to me.

He basically shook me awake and thrust the phone in my face. I think he said something, but I was in such a sick stupor that I didn't hear him and I had no idea what was going on. I think I just kind of rolled over and went back to sleep, effectively hanging up on my interviewer without saying anything. I only just realized what happened when I woke up.

Now I'm absolutely furious at my dad for even trying to give the phone to me, and I feel completely awful for being so rude. I really want to call the guy back and apologize or something, but I didn't even get his name!

Any ideas as to what I should do?

Don't you have caller ID or some way of knowing the number that just called you?

Call Carole Levine at Duke Alumni Affairs. She should be able to track down whomever it was and have you back in touch.

I don't have caller ID on my home phone number, but okay.

Thanks anyway.

This. Will. Be. Okay.

Really.

aww, so sorry
call the office, they should be understanding, everyone gets sick, it wont hurt ur admissions
