<p>im terrified of this too. I dont wanna sound weird, but i like to party. I know it is unbecoming of someone from u of c but sometimes you need to let loose. Im terrified im gonna be stuck there with nothing to do and wishing i followed all my friends to umich or u of i. Oh well...we will make our own party scene if we have to.</p>

like i work hard during the week doing my ap crap..but i love to party on the weekends
from what i've heard from students is that a lotta kids just take shots to get wasted cuz they're so trashed, however, the beer scene and like social getting drunk is way better</p>
<p>with attitudes like that, someone might mess around and have a good time at chicago ha ...but seriously, i wouldn't worry the way you guys are....first time on campus for me, i got drunk with like 50 or so people i had never met before.. everyone i talked to talked about how worried they were as freshman that no one else would party with them, it'll be fine....both the campus police and the people in the dorms are pretty laid back, its a good time, dont worry</p>
<p>And this work load I've heard about? How many classes do you have a day --- and more importantly, how early are they?</p>
<p>esquared- me? i'm just a senior who's been a campus a few times, but by talking to kids on my visits..the attitude seems to be that yea there is alot of work, especially during the week...but you learn to manage both work and play pretty early on- the chicago-ness to the whole thing is that no one really seemed to mind the heavy workload...you guys are probably like me, i want to have a good time, but i don't want my gpa to drop with every shot i take</p>

<p>i like to party a lot too..so since everyone seems to continuously question stuff like that, this shows that so many people ask about patrying and drinking that it will obviously be there when were are there at leaste since so many people are worried about not having it. This makes me feel much better.</p>
<p>Drinking and Partying aren't necessarily the same thing. Drinking may or may not end with depressing drunkards vomiting all over the place. Partying on the other hand, hopefully at least, may or may not result in nudity at the end of the night. I hope for the latter.</p>
