How often do you have parties at P-ton? Are there a lot of them, or do you guys basically keep quite and study?

Well, Lawnparties were today so I feel extra qualified to answer.

Basically, if you want to party you can. I've been out maybe 4 times since we got here? There's been something going on basically every night on the street, and if not then def. room parties, just like any college. But none of my hallmates go out, ever (sub free etc.). And we all have awesome social lives already (forbes is AWESOME like that). They tell you this over and over, and it's actually true: if you want to drink, drink, if you don't want to, don't, and no one's going to care either way. Honestly.

That sounds perfect for my desired situation...just another reason to love P-ton!

I've been going out virtually every night since I got here (classes have started so im not going to be doing that anymore). I heard most ppl go out 1nce or twice a week (thursday and saturday). There's also some stuff on friday's (though its more like going to watch a play or a show than partying).
There are basically two places to party: rooms and the street. you can find all sorts of room parties almost everynight.

From where i come from, parties consist of dancing

Here at pton i have observed that parties mostly consist of ppl in a house, room, or hall standing around drinking and talking.

If you actually like to dance, once a week pton hosts BlackBox, which is a type of dance club party thingy. Its pretty fun (you don't need to know how to dance, everybody just dancing their own way). I guess it all depends on your view on what a party is, but if you come to pton and don't see it, don't make that a reason why you don't come. Come here and make it happen yourself

ya no kidding. my idea of a good party is a 32 players lan party playing battlefield 2 and everyone's got headsets.

have you even seen Harold and Kumar?

^^haha
"What kind of Ivy league school is this??"

LMAO! I love Harold and Kumar. I couldn't believe that that was Princeton at first, LOL.

lol...this is completely different from what I expected...my idea of a P-ton party is twenty people sitting in a circle with books on their laps and drinking lemonades and telling jokes ::)

Goldfish. Uh......no.

haha you'd be surprised Goldfish...

Goldfish, one phenomenal aspect of Princeton is the range of activities one may pursue. If hardcore partying is your style, TI and other eating clubs will more than suffice in that regard. If not, you can discuss Taggart as a figure of cultural demise. In fact, nearly every night there is an academic speaker or philosopher on campus. The possiblities honestly run the gamut, and while I'm sure this isn't purely unique to Princeton, there are few other places that can match the overall quality in all fields.
