Parts of the SAT

Hey guys,

My extracurriculars and courseload are heavily focused on science and math. But I just suck at SAT 1 Math.

I ended up getting a 780 for CR and Writing, but a 750 for math. I got a 800 on the Math 2C, though.

I want to ask if Yale weighs the different scores on the SAT differently. Does it raise a red flag if the candidate has somewhat strange looking scores like mine?

Any Admissions-familiar people want to help me out of my problem? Thanks so much!

Don't sweat it, 750 is probably just two questions wrong, which could easily be a bubbling error or missing a button on your calculator. By no means do you "suck" at the test. It happens to everyone. You're human.

haha since when is 750 on math bad? I really wouldn't worry.

wowwwww you got a 750 on a section of the SAT and are complaining?
SAT is no where near important as GPA, ec's, volunteer/work experience, etc. and besides, yours are already super high

The difference between 750, 780 and even 800 is not anything that will raise a red flag.

My VERY general rule of thumb for any SAT score and selective schools is: 700 is good, 750 is great and anything over that is gravy.

no, don't worry. It just shows that you might be a tad but careless, and the SAT Math is by no means representative of your mathematical abilities.

Wow... only on CC will people worry about a score difference they could only have gotten with two wrong.

Honestly, you are just terrible. Worrying about a 750? Yuck.

If you want to see REAL score differences, get a loud of my 800W/780CR/620M. Yeeeaaah.
