Party scene and social life at CSULB

I´m currently thinking about studying abroad in CSULB, but i´ve heard a lot of different things about the party scene and social life online. Some say that Long beach University is a commuter school and because of that the parties aren´t that popular, but i´ve also heard that if you live in a highly populated and active dorm you´ll av plenty to do.

So how is it actually? Are the parties nothing to special or does it actually depend on the dorm you are living in, if it does, which dorm should i be looking at if i want the one that is the most active, because I´m personally a very social person.

http://www.csulb.edu/sites/default/files/groups/institutional-research-assessment/cds_2015-2016_final.pdf section F1 says that 36% of frosh lived in the dorms in fall 2015. It is likely that this percentage is a good proxy for resident students (as opposed to those commuting from their parents’ house or wherever else they lived before college).

Hmm that sounds like a good number, but how is the social life at the school then?

@MisterWorldwide1 there is a lot to do around long beach. There are various parties and the college experience is quite nice. HMU if you want to know more about anything related to CSULB :slight_smile:

@kbutter1234 Sent you a PM. :slight_smile:

Would you say there are a lot of good parties at CSULB? @kbutter1234

Definitely in the beginning of the year. Other than that, it gets pretty dry, so take advantage early. Also the parties toward the end of the year can get lit too.

Where are said parties? lmao

Hey, i’m thinking about going to Cal State next year. I’d be helpful to talk somebody who knows about the actual school. Have lots of questions LOL

@eopsy16 hey i currently attend csulb PM me if you would like to ask specific questions about the school
