Party Scene and Social Life:

Looking to here from actual BC students and even some who has spent time visiting: whats the party scene like? does the catholic affiliation hinder drinking and partying in the dorms,…basically, is it boring or do students know how to have a good time? also i heard a train back from boston to bc stops at 12 and therefor prevents any late night in the city. wahts the deal? helpppp please

Thanks!

yes, the transit system in Boston stops at 12 which is an annoyance since I come from NYC, but its really not that bad. My friends and I go out into Boston to watch movies and then go back to BC. As far as the party scene, people here play pong in their rooms and have parties. The catholic affiliation doesn't hinder parties at all and the RA's usually do not mind unless the parties become excessive.

Outside of the mods and off-campus housing, there are no parties. Yes, people do play beer pong, but unless you call sitting in someone's small dorm drinking with 5 other people a party, then you better go off-campus. Freshmen guys are screwed at BC because guys usually dont let them into parties unless they are freinds with someone who lives in the house (not common for a freshman to know a junior in an off-campus house). But, there are tons of colleges close by BC that I partied at as a freshmen. That is the advantage of being in the biggest college city in the country.

The subway does shut down early, but most people take taxi's back to campus. With 4 people in a taxi you can get to the center of Boston for about 5 dollars each.
