Party scene at UCLA

<p>hey guys,</p>

<p>now before i get any further, i am just letting you know that i have looked at the other threads about social life/party scene</p>

<p>i am stuck between UCSD and UCLA...
i have bioengineering pre-med at UCSD, and i have bioengineering at UCLA
i know UCSD is the best UC in this field/department/major</p>

<p>BUT.....
like firstly, how good is UCLA in this field? and does UCLA have the prestige factor?</p>

<p>ALSO....
I am hoping any current students or recently graduated ones can help me out a bit
i want to know more info. on the party scene and social life at UCLA
do i have to be in a frat like some posts have said?...like if you are not, apparently u cant get into many parties?
like how hard is it to find parties, how often like every weekend or do ppl also party weekdays?, really how bad/good are the girls since i have heard from some ppl that they are all rly fake and stuff

<p>I have to submit the SIR by May 1st, and both schools are basically equal for me right now tho i am leaning to SD...though i really want more info on party scene/social life
BUT if i can convince myself that i can rly fit into the party scene at UCLA and enjoy my 4 yrs more then i will probably choose LA over SD</p>

<p>You don’t have to be IN a frat to enjoy all of the parties. You just have to know people who host parties.</p>

like is it pretty chill over there?..like beerpong and stuff in dorms? haha</p>
