How's the party scene/club life at FSU (incoming freshman guy - over 18)? :)

Btw, anyone excited for CollegeTown?

It’s what you make of it. Last I heard, they were getting ready to re-open the Strip on Tennessee after it was closed for around 2 months due to an e coli outbreak. But there’s about a billion clubs to hang out at downtown.

What’s the strip?

Clubs: Episodes, Rehab, LIT, Coliseum, Bajas, RokBar (more like a lounge), Moon, Stetsons, Level 8, Paradigm, Clydes and Costellos

Bars: Kens, InnBetween, AJs, Fermentation Lounge, Potbellys, Palace, Pauls Pourhouse, Midtown Pass, PROOF

Many more to come once the strip reopens. The strip is a street right across campus, (or right next to Degraff hall) that is literally a crap ton of bars. A few months ago, 3 Bars/Clubs closed down (they were all under same management) due to Ecoli conditions (which is what they advertised, although they werent able to keep up with rent). Should be reopening.

As an FSU student I’m not exactly looking forward to college town. Isn’t in the best area to walk to and from, and i really don’t want to frequent the same places as FAMU students.
Toss in the Gaines Street project, and FSU getting a few national championships in the coming years, and FSU will keep its traditions of a ragetastic environment.

“i really don’t want to frequent the same places as FAMU students”

No offense, but this comes across badly. Nothing wrong with FAMU students.

What kind of other things are there to do in tallahasse besides clubs ?

. & @xSidx1337, yeah it’s really nothing wrong with FAMU students. That was a bit rude. You can’t make judments off of people you don’t know or a school you do NOT attend.

Hey Sid I have a question, are those clubs you listed 21+ for guys? Or would a 19 year old be able to get in?

I do mean it in every bad way. I was a bouncer for Floyds last year. Every single FAMU event I worked at Floyds I had to deal with fights and other nonsense. If it weren’t for TPD on hand at several events, thing would have gotten out of hand. Contrasting FSU events, never had to deal with any nonsense other than an overly drunken kick-out.

If there is nothing wrong with FAMU students, why does TPD have so many police out during FAMU homecoming? Yup.

Certain bars are 21+, like Palace, Proof, (Kens for Guys)
Other places are 18+

Just because they’re “black” doesn’t mean anything. That’s what you inferring. A lot pf police can easily be anywhere. FSU and any other school has just as much “nonsense” as you like to call it as any other school. Every school has those set of students that get out of hand and judging them doesn’t make it any better because you don’t know them.
And if you don’t like it , keep your opinion to yourself and just not deal with them.

I never said anything about them being black. Considering you probably spend your nights reading poetry at Cafe Shisha I wouldn’t really care about your input.
Although this is about the party scene in Tally, not a goody good tree hugger lets all join hands together convention. I’m just being real. Don’t like it? Cry about it elsewhere.

I’m not crying about anything and you don’t know anything about me so you can’t make a statement about me saying where I spend my nights. I don’t even smoke for your information. You don’t even have to say anything about them being black. You stated something rude about a black school which says enough. Don’t be ignorant, all I’m saying is, watch what you say because you can offend someone which in this case, you offended me.

Playing the race card lolol what else is new

On another note, if you are 16 years old you aren’t even old enough to attend…
Please go study for your FCATS

First off , you don’t know anything about me and you don’t know WHERE I attend school at. So on that note, I’m leave off with saying, you’re ignorant and I hope you learn something from being rude by being offensive when you didn’t even have you state the comment that you stated. I just wanted to know what things are there to do at FSU and in Tallahassee.
