Party schools that offer an excellent education?

Hey. I'm a sophmore in high school, and I've been thinking about schools recently. I would like to go to a college thats very large, (around 30,000 people), with D-1 sports, (I love watching college football, etc) that also has great academics, but also a huge party scene.

Are there any schools that fit these standards? Thank you!

Wisconsin, PSU, Texas, Florida.

This should pretty much cover it.

<a href=“The Smartest Party Schools In The Country”>The Smartest Party Schools In The Country;

Syracuse University

UVA and UNC jump to mind.

These are some well respected party schools:

University of Miami
Penn State University
Ohio State University
University of California-Santa Barbara
University of Wisconsin- Madison
Syracuse University
University of Texas-Austin

Don’t look at the “most academic” side on that buzzfeed data. Its based on Forbes ranking LOL.

Michigan and UCLA.

^ Heh…

Check out the top state U’s — MI, UCLA, WI, FL, Va, TX to name a few.

UF
Great at D1 sports, around top 50 for academics, and large campus and student body(50k students). They’re consistently rated in the top 10 for being a party school, although I view that as a negative.

I would say University of Miami. Great sports too (football team) and ranked in the top 45 on USWNR

Virtually ANY school with Big Div I sports is going to have a party atmosphere.

what are your parents saying? Will they pay for the high costs to attend an OOS public? If not, then your choices will be more limited.

My kids graduated from Alabama which, of course, has big sports and a Greek scene. Are you interested in pledging?

Did anyone forget…

Indiana University Bloomington???

D-1 sports
party
great majors
great campus

Among the Ivy League – Princeton, Dartmouth, and UPenn have the best social life/party scene. Stanford and Duke also have D-1 sports and decent social scenes.

If you want complete “work hard/party hard” schools I’d check out — Vanderbilt, UVA, University of Southern California, UNC, Michigan, Wisconsin, Wake Forest, Colgate, Bucknell, Boston College, W&L, Lehigh, Tulane, Ohio State, Syracuse, Florida, Maryland, Penn State, UT-Austin, UCSB, UMiami.

If you really have the stats to make it, go to Yale - it’s the only Ivy to feature on Playboy’s list of the top ten party schools in the US

Why not IU Bloomington?

UWisconsin
UMiami
USC (cal)

Indiana could be included on my list, I’m sure I missed some others as well

The Ivy League is an NCAA Division I sports conference.
