is it like this where you live

where if you hear about a party (it is hosted at a guy's house who you barely know), you just show up?

or

do you go to parties where the people going, you know fairly well?

I go to parties when I know the people pretty well- there can still be people I dont know, but I want to at least have people I can hang out with right away

people I know fairly well.. it would be really awkward to me otherwise

I always know the people throwing the party

Well my town is small enough that everyone who goes to parties knowns each other anyway.

well, where i live you pretty much go to any party you hear about, regardless of if you know the host or not.

There are a bunch of "open parties" in my area, but I never go. I'm more of a small group type person.

Yea, I usually go to parties where I know the hosts pretty well.

Going to parties that you aren't invited to is a good way to get your ass kicked from the scene I grew up in...

I only go to parties I'm invited to, that's the way it works over here.

we want fun, want pie, want fun. we want to have fun, and we want to get wasted.

Ditto to Luwain's post. I only respond to invitations. Not informal "oh my parents aren't home so let's get wasted!" parties.

I knew everyone in my graduating class, so the second option.

interesting....here if u hear about a party from anyone then you can go if you want (even if ur not invited originally)
