My son is currently a freshman in college. All freshmen at his school receive pass/fail grades for the first 2 terms. Grades are not received until the third term. My son has two renewable scholarships that require a 3.0 gpa. Will he have to provide the scholarship organizations with evidence that his passing grades are better than C's? How do scholarship organizations look at pass/fail grading? One of my concerns is that my son has the attitude that he just has to study enough to pass...he tells me he'll work harder when he actually gets grades. But I'm concerned about his outside scholarships. Thanks in advance for any advice.
