<p>Which would be better-taking Chorus pass/ fail or getting an A- in the class? If I get the A-, my senior year gpa will be a 4.6. If I take it pass/ fail, my senior year will be a 4.7. </p>

<p>With the information provided, practical reasoning suggests you take the route that yields the increase in GPA. Why bother making this thread?</p>
<p>the thing is that my cumulative gpa for 4 years is only a 4.2. One of the college advisors say that colleges will consider a “passed” class a “C” grade. My counselor also reccomends taking the A- instead.
Then again, my school counselor doesn’t feel that getting into elite schools is that important</p>

<p>Colleges recalculate GPA. In other words, most recalculate your HS GPA using only the main core subjects (English, History, Lab Science, Math, and Foreign Language).</p>
