Does WashU offer a pass/fail option for any classes?

Yes .

Haha well thanks for the speedy response. Any insight on how it works?

I’m really not sure what you’re asking.
Nearly all classes are offered on a p/f basis. It’s up to your department whether or not you cant take it as p/f.

(For example, see the very bottom, point 11, for my major).

Depends on the school.
Assuming something like Art Sci you have X number of units that can be pass/fail. All classes for your major must be taken for a grade.

I really don’t see much of a reason to take things pass/fail unless you know before hand you’re going to do poorly; in which case why take the class.

Since you can’t use it for your major, if you’re trying to pick a major through clusters you can’t really use the option.

I suppose if it’s a class completely out of your comfort zone…perhaps you’ve never taken a computer science class or art class or something and you’re in a completely unrelated major.

It’s not something people do that often at Wash U.

Wow. I totally didn’t post the link.
Fail.

I’ve never elected to take a class p/f - I have taken a seminar though where p/f was the only option.
