Pass/Fail

I'm taking Calc AB as a pass/fail. I am terrible at math, and felt it would be the best way to get credit without having to stress over getting a high grade.

I've passed the first semester, but not with flying colors.

I keep worrying that UMich will look down upon that decision and choose to rescind my acceptance.

Does anyone have any input? It'd be lovely if my mind could be eased... Thanks. :)

Call your admissions counselor if you’d like reassurance. At one of the admissions events we went to, this was specifically addressed. The admissions rep. did said that they look at your final grades and that each year they rescind some admissions decisions based on poor senior grades. Then the person said it was like 5 this past year. That’s not very many; it’s a drop in the bucket. I had the impression that you’d really have to get a horrible case of senioritis and bomb several classes. Probably the best way to find out is to ask directly. They’re going to find out anyway…be proactive and explain your situation.

Unless you fail there is nothing to worry about.
