Pass/Fail

So I'm thinking of taking psychology as pass/fail to get exposure for the new MCAT section but am wondering if it will hurt my chances at medical school? Just curious, looking for insight

Pass/fail classes do not fulfill admission requirements.

So if you apply to a medical school that requires psych or X credits in social sciences, your pass/fail course won’t be considered as fulfilling the requirements.

Since many schools are in the process of realigning their admission requirements to better match the 2015 MCAT, you should check what your in-state schools require and any of the target schools you think you might want to apply to.

Please be aware that med schools can and do change admission requirements from year to year.

with regard to non required classes though, a single p/f course won’t matter.
