<p>If you are doing very well in a pass/no pass GE can you return to taking it for a letter grade? Like, it wouldn't matter if I got As in all my classes, but since GPA is an average, isn't it higher the more As you have, if you get a B in the same semester, or more Bs later on?</p>
<p>Of course, I'm not all that concerned about GPA. I came for an education, not a numerical statistic. I'd just feel kind of silly being one of the better students in a class I'm taking pass/no pass.</p>
<p>You can't change it back to a letter grade after the deadline has passed. I say enjoy the class and perhaps you have a high enough grade that come finals, you don't have to worry about this class.</p>
<p>You can always petition (in fact I may petition something similar this semester) but unless you have a good reason, it is somewhat unlikely for them to change it (though it's always a possiblity).</p>
<p>That's cool. This semester was my only chance to take a P/NP GE anyway, so it's not that it matters much. I was just curious mostly.</p>
