I am a CCC student. My major is computer science. I am taking a biology lab course out of my own interest. If I were to take it and receive a “Pass” grade, could I repeat the course for a letter grade in a future semester? It’s important to know because if I cannot repeat the class and I choose to switch majors (to say, Bioinformatics), I would not be able to repeat the major requirement for a letter grade. A “pass” would not be a wise grade for a course that is part of my major when transferring to a California university.
Take the class for a letter grade. This early in your education career, you should be satisfying the gen ed requirements and putting yourself in the best position for a transfer - not making plans to repeat courses.
