I want to transfer to UCLA design department.
This my second quarter in CC.
I already have a "W" for math and I am now struggling with my geo, and I want to make it into pass/no pass.
So far I have a 4.0 GPA.
I know I need C or better for English and math and I am going to retake math again.
My concern is if I have a w and a P/NP in a roll will make my transcript look bad.

Now, here's my question how would pass/no pass and "w" in GE affect my transcript to UCLA?

and also what GPA do I need to get into UCLA and UCD design department?

CalBearGuy, do you think having one P/NP class would make you look bad? I mean like, would they prefer someone who had a B in that class rather than someone who had a P?

P/NP are fine. Just have ONE. Not two, not three…ONE. For undergrad its fine but for grad school or law school or med school they don’t like more than one P/NP. Med schools don’t like them at all. W’s are fine but keep it under 4, and if you go over you have to explain why. I just put that I had transportation issues because my college is far away and the bus doesn’t run late. W’s will never keep you out of a school unless you have a grip of them. P/NP should only be used for the hardest class you will ever take, but you have to know within a week because after that they wont let you take it P/NP.
