Pass or Fail or Just drop

Hi guys. i study in a top LAC and this semester I took a CS class that is so hard. Though I did well in my previous lab assignments, I get a C in my mid-term which takes up of 20%. That means I cannot get an A in this semester and probably A- will also be impossible. I kinda want to go to law school after graduation and once my law advisor said try not to pass and fail.. So here is the question:
I am allowed to drop the class(i mean drop, not withdraw by next week) so that nothing happened in my transcript OR I can set it to pass/fail which will be shown. And I can also stick up to the course anyway and get a B in the end. I am getting really busy this semester and have GIANT workload although I only take 4 full courses and several extra-credit classes. I kinda want to drop. Would the law school admission regard me as a less intelligent student if I only take 3 full courses for one semester? Should I continue doing it even if I am totally exhausted(this course takes me at least 15 hours and I have no time to have much fun or socialize..)

Thanks

No, not an issue for one semester. You should really consider why you are doing bad before you drop it though. I say this because if you drop the course and retake it you might be in the same situation as you are in now. If you dont need/want to retake it and if it doesn’t interest you just drop it.
