<p>Nope, can't say that I have. Actually once I thought that I was trapped and was within a mintue of pressing the emergency button, but the doors finally opened. Needless to say I got off and took the stairs the rest of the way down.</p>

<p>Go to the TKTS booth in the center of Times Square. There, you can buy EXTREMELY discounted Broadway show tickets. And, since you're going on a weekday, I would bet that the lines will be fairly short.</p>
<p>Also, make sure you do a New York pier. The seafood. The air. The people. It's really cool.</p>
