My U.S. History and special topics (discussion class on current events teacher). She was always having these huge protests and basically had tenure because she had won so many awards at state and national level. She is very liberal, so she had lots of fun corrupting the minds of the youth of America. I remember sitting in her class watching all these fun things from WWII and the cold war and talking about China taking over the world. Also, she had this collection of sticks that she would walk around the class with banging on people's desks when she was excited or they were asleep. I love her. sighs

If you could be any major statesman (U.S.), who would you be?

Guy named Mr. Navarro....looks JUST like Geppetto from the Disney movie Pinocchio. Really passionate about history and a total goofball. lol He always uses the same ridiculous lines, like "Is it really fair that I'm this good looking? No. But the world isn't fair" And he always tells great stories, like how he stole a bread truck in Madrid and spent the night in jail playing handball with a gypsy...lol I'm going to miss him a lot next year.

What's the most important quality you look in a significant other?

Sense of humor, hands down. Has to be quirky and totally random, like mine. Has to be able to see the humor I see, or not be weirded out by what I see. :)

Did you cry at Princess Di's funeral broadcast?

^ Yes, like a baby. I loved her (and everything about the English monarchy), and when she died...yeah. I nearly broke something when I found out Charles and Camilla were getting married.

I've been checking these boards since the college apps process started and have never registered, but I just had to so I could say that this is why I love Yale. Look at the Harvard board, SO boring. Everyone over there is freaking out! Sure people are freaking out here too, but you can tell that everyone here is really chill. I mean, look at this thread! So bizzare, I love it. I hope we all get in.

Greatest fear- falling. I've never broken anything or hurt myself and it has amounted to a building paranoia as to what it might feel like.

Would you ever want to live in a single in college (and why)?

Um . . . Cidade de Deus (City of God) from Brazil. Yeah, I think that's what I'm going with these days. My attention span is so short that I usually can't sit through movies, but Cidade was one of the most compelling films I've ever seen foreign or otherwise. Goodbye Lenin (Germany) was also very nice.

Do you have a favorite punk rock band and if so which one?

I can't say I have...but I have gotten blisters from walking in some uncomfortable 5-inch heels. But everyone gets those.

Do you believe that blood types are an accurate indicator of personality? (According to popular belief: O's are sociable and loud (and don't always start what they finish...heh that's me); A's are quiet/shy, perfectionists, and are "thinkers"; B's are confident and strong-minded; AB's are "split" in these traits...have a bit of each)
