so im filling out the common app for the university of denver, and im not sure if im showing a passions or an obsession. one of my ec's is lacrosse, which is the one that is most important to me. my essay is about winning the state championship for lacrosse last year. then, for the part where you elaborate more on an ec, i wrote about lacrosse and the effect its had on me throughout high school. im just wondering if maybe im writing about lacrosse too much and should focus on something else to write about. so, does this show passion, or obsession?

Are passion and obsession mutually exclusive?

If you're obsessed with a passion, that can actually be a good thing. Why do you think it'd come off as bad? That means that you're extremely passionate in that area.

i dont know, i was just thinking maybe they would want me to elaborate on something different. so do you think i should just leave it the way it is?
