passion

I'm in 9th grade and I still haven't figured out my passion (something that I can do for hours and days and not get bored of). I play the piano (I wish I had one so I could practice more often), I play chess, I study math, I read wikipedia articles and science magazines, and I enjoy reading in general. However, nothing really stands out to me as a passion. How can I find my passion? Thanks in advance.

-try new things
-join new clubs
-read about careers that interest you

You can’t just manufacture a passion.

Just try new things, do things that interest you, and don’t have the mindset of “I hope this is my passion.”

Something may come to you…or it may not.

^yes, very true. Don’t try to construct your passion…it will come to you.

Yes, yes, yes.

IMO, ‘passion’ is way overused on CC.

^Yeah, it’s like passion has lost its meaning and been transformed into a robotic liking of something. Not everyone is going to have an all-out passion.

wow, 9th grade & you’re STILL hanging?? i don’t know, kid…you sound like a lost cause, to me…

haha I felt like i had to find my passion in freshman year. Its easy to just become lost in a sea of students if there isn’t anything about you that really makes you stand out.

As much as I stressed however, I never realized my passion until last summer and this school year.

don’t look for it, just try new things and work hard at what you find the most interesting/fun.
