Passionate about major?

Does it help a lot if you are really passionate about your major, for example all my clubs have to do with economics besides one that focuses on helping people. I get a lot of awards in economics and I really like the subject. Will that help in applying for the AEM degree? Do you apply to the university itself, or the different schools?

Yes it helps. It shows AO your passion for a certain field and they do value that. You apply to a certain school and the admission committee of that school makes the decision.

for AEM you apply to the specific major. this is because AEM is a major in CALS and all CALS applicants apply directly to a major.

AEM is by far the hardest program to get into at Cornell. If you are certain, risk it, otherwise just apply as an econ major and try to transfer in or something. It’s ridicilously hard to get in.

haha, you must have forgotten something called Architecture.

no i havent. and i’ve been talking to an admissions officer about this…
