Passport on SAT day?? please help!!

hey ,, Do we have to have a PASSPORT compulsorily on the SAT day for the photo identification or the citizenship card works?
Please help!!!!

I think it must be passport.

Dear sixstringrocker, I know that you took the test some 2-3 yrs ago, when the passport was mandatory!
But I heard that citizenship card can do the job nowadays!!
So, can any newbie (SAT taker) remove my confusion???
please help!!

I am pretty sure passport is mandatory, whether it was 2-3 years ago, or it is now. Collegeboard’s policies rarely change, as it’s tests’ prices do!! :P

why would you want to risk it anyways, if you aren’t sure?

Taken from the College Board website
Identification restrictions
Students from the following countries must present a valid passport as ID to be admitted for testing:

* Ghana

 • India
 • Nepal
 • Nigeria
 • Pakistan

So hulk bring your passport, you’ve been warned

IIRC even the citizenship will work at St. Xavier’s- others(RBS and Lincoln) require you to have the passport. You could call St. Xavier’s school to confirm.
But if I were you, I’d just take my passport.

Onaryc, yeah I heard that too!
( one of my old friend told me, but he is more of a liar, so, I didn’t believe him)
I will surely confirm that!( but I think , it will be better if I take the passport)
thanks sixstring, macmurd and batllo, your replies are appreciated!!

St. Xavier’s accepts citizenship as ID. Well it did accept mine this year.

user99: That is something I wanted to hear from someone !!
thanks a lot!!

I’ve seen citizenship accepted of two guys at Lincoln too. But, that was after a long, heavy request and all.

Get a letter from you college authority on a college stamp pad, stating the reason why you do not have passport (lost, stolen, never made) along with the signature of your principle and it should work. It used to work 3 years ago not sure about now.
