past & present waitlist-ers

hey, i have some questions about being waitlisted...

first- villanova is my top choice college but i was waitlisted and at my 2nd choice college i was waitlisted as well, both i applied under their business programs
should i switch that to general to make it easier to get in?.. is that even possible?

second- i know that nova says they will notify by june 30th, pretttty late, do they often tell you before hand. ive heard people have been told within weeks...

and lastly- are you other waitlisted getting ur deposits out for your other schools.. i really dont want to cause im so hopeful about nova and stuff

thanks

i originally applied to nova under business too, but under advice from a family member and an admissions counselor i switched to undecided Arts and Sciences. I got in- I really think switching schools made a huge difference and is one of the reasons why i'm gonna be at nova next year. so i would suggest trying it. you never know, it could really make a big difference.

did you change it once you submitted it?..how would i go about doing that

i sent a letter to admissions explaining the situation... i had been going back and forth and after careful consideration i had decided that the college of arts and sciences was a better fit, at this time. stuff like that. just keep in mind that i did this before the admission decisions were made. i don't know if it help you get off the waitlist, but it can't hurt.

You will NOT be able to switch your school of choice now that you are on the wait list. Also, some sad news for you... There are 4,000 students on the waitlist. This is more than twice the number of spaces available in the class and this is the waitlist!!! Please see Villanovan.com for admission stats of the class of 2011 and the waitlist.
