<p>Well, yesterday my parents convinced me at 6:21 EST to apply to Tufts. I had wanted to apply, but I didn't have time to write the optional essays and didn't want to apply without them. </p>
<p>I got the application and supplement in on time, but none of my school's paperwork or test scores. I rushed the test scores and I'll bring the envelopes to the school today for recs and the secondary school report, but they won't go out until the 3rd or 4th. </p>
<p>Will this be fine, or will they mind? I know usually it doesn't matter, but this seems like it will get there a week after the deadline.</p>
<p>Should I send a polite email to say that my materials will be slightly late?</p>

<p>In my applying to tufts book, it says the deadline for supporting materials for regular admission is January 10 :-)</p>
<p>You are fine. And if you haven't finished it yet (the original post isn't totally clear on this), you can still send in that optional essay, too.</p>

<p>It appears like the answer is Jan. 10 for all "supporting materials". My guess is the optional essay counts if your application (i.e. all REQUIRED materials) is already in.</p>

<p>if we use the common app, we have to give in two teacher recs, right? or is it the same as the Tufts regular app, where we give in one teacher rec and one guidance rec?</p>

<p>i'm not dan, but the essay was supposed to be 250 - 400 words i think, so you're golden.</p>
