your ec’s are extremely good. you should have good luck when applying to ivy leagues. they can be somewhat random, but you should(and deserve to) get in to some top schools.

Your primary problem is simple geography.

and you are an international student, right? I’ve known an international guy who’s from Signapore and was flat out rejected from caltech and MIT yet he won a silver medal in USAMO and a bunch of impressive awards. he’s going to UCLA anyway. International students have MUCH MUCH MUCH harder time in admissions to top tier schools than domestic student. So, if you want to become a US citizen or a domestic student, I would suggest you marry a nice, American gal and become naturalized that way. :)

(I’m just joking about the part about marrying an American citizen)

pierre, are you trying to depress him? UCSD a reach when he’s got a 2220 SAT and potentially 3 800s on subject tests? I’ve seen plenty of conservative predictions on this forum and that was probably the most conservative yet.

I have no knowledge of the Indian patent process. But, if it was a US Patent, I would be careful about claiming a patent assignment until it was actually awarded…otherwise, your credibility will be called into question and you certainly don’t want that.
