Pathfinder Program

Does anyone have any insights about the Pathfinder Program at WU?

Not really. But I’ll be in it come next fall…

I think basically it takes a lot of the GE requirements and spins them so that they relate back to the environment and sustainability, whether politically, scientifically, or any way else. Also, there are several case-studies including the Mojave Desert and Hawaii. E-mail Professor Raymond Arvidson if you have any specific questions or if you just want to learn more about the program. He’s in charge and a very nice guy.

Thanks MS. My S will also be in the PFP next fall - just curious if anyone out there is presently involved and what their views on the program might be. It sounds like an outstanding opportunity. My S has also found Prof Arvidson to be a great guy.

One of my suitemates last year and one of my good friends are both in the Pathfinder Program, and they both LOVE it. They went down to the Mojave Desert this past Winter Break and had a blast. If you want the names of my friends, they will be more than happy to talk to you about the program and what it entails. Please e-mail me if you are interested! :)
