Patterson Scholarship Confusion

Hi,
I'm currently a National Merit Semifinalist from Ohio (still waiting for that Finalist letter) and I'm looking at the University of Kentucky greatly in part to their generous Patterson Scholarship for NMFs. Does anyone have experience with this scholarship?

I'm a little confused because on their scholarship website (Non-Resident Scholarships | UK Student Financial Aid and Scholarships) there isn't really a whole lot of detail about the process for getting the Patterson Scholarship. One of the other schools I'm really looking at is Cincinnati and on their website ( Cincinnatus Excellence Scholarship, University of Cincinnati) they have a really specific step by step list of how to get their NMF Scholarship- notify the school, recieve the offer, then notify NMSC and list them as first choice.

Does anyone know if for UK you just list them as first choice with NMSC? Then they send you their package in the mail? It just sounded so overly simple to me in comparison to some of the other schools, haha.

All you have to do is select them as your number one school. However, since you cannot choose UC and UK as your number one school, you will have to choose before UK will allow you to receive the scholarship.
